At the time the partnership agreement was signed, Siemens Healthineers CEO, Bernd Montag, said the addition of ECG’s advisory business to its portfolio was a further step in the implementation of the company’s “Strategy 2025.” He added, “In combination with our strong medical technology portfolio, including our digital platforms and solutions, the partnership with ECG will enable us to address the needs of our customers more comprehensively than ever before, helping them to further improve healthcare delivery and provide better care at lower cost.”

The successor of the brand Siemens Healthcare, Siemens Healthineers AG, is a major international company known globally for its innovative expertise in imaging and diagnostics technologies, advanced therapies, and customer service and training. Siemens Healthineers’ Enterprise Service augments this by providing what it describes as “long-term business Value Partnerships.” These combine Siemens technology leadership and experience in clinical consulting and workflow optimization to create further value for healthcare institutions.

Siemens Healthineers has more than 120 years of experience and employs around 50 thousand people in more than 70 countries. At the same time, it is not typical of Germany’s medical technology sector, in which 95 percent of the companies are small and medium sized enterprises (SME).

To aid orientation in Germany’s medical technology landscape, the export initiative for the German healthcare industry, HEALTH MADE IN GERMANY, serves companies and individuals from abroad who are interested in establishing contact with potential German partners or suppliers. It has published the German Medical Technology Industry Profile which provides key facts about the sector. The initiative also has available its online Company Directory, offering user-friendly access to more than 3500 profiles of German healthcare companies.
