New directory of in vitro diagnostics (IVD) companies published

Rapid growth is being forecast in the market for in vitro diagnostics (IVD), with Business Wire's Research and Markets' predicting that global market value for IVD is expected to grow by six percent to reach USD 92.7 billion by 2023 (from USD 62.5 billion in 2016). At the same time, the Export Initiative for the German Healthcare Industry, HEALTH MADE IN GERMANY is publishing a directory of German companies specializing in IVD. The business environment for IVD in Germany is dynamic. The country is Europe's largest IVD market, with turnovers of more than EUR 2 billion annually. Furthermore, Germany's IVD industry is also highly innovative. Examples of the groundbreaking products coming from Germany are those produced by Numares Health, which has developed IVD tests for lipoprotein profiling and is collaborating with Oxford University on the development of a test for diagnosing multiple sclerosis. And that is just one company.

The In Vitro Diagnostics directory is the first HEALTH MADE IN GERMANY has compiled of the mainly medium-sized companies active in this field. Before taking the reader to the easy-to-use table of firms, the guide provides an introduction and overview of the IVD sector and market in Germany. What is more, it contains key figures on in vitro diagnostics' R&D in Germany, including an analysis of the country's molecular diagnostics sector, an area where German companies have risen to global prominence, particularly in terms of diagnostics for infectious diseases and some types of cancer. Beyond that, the directory also touches upon how the regulatory environment for IVD is developing in Europe.

The guide lists more than 75 companies specializing in IVD in a table that allows readers to quickly discover which ones specialize in clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, microbiology, infectious immunology and/or genetic testing. The table is followed by an alphabetized listing of portraits of the companies, their products, services and contact details.

HEALTH MADE IN GERMANY distributes the publication at trade shows in Germany and abroad. The publication is also available for download as a PDF.
