Herbal, homeopathic and anthroposophic medicines are mainly obtained from natural sources. Germany is Europe's largest market for herbal medicines and its second largest for homeopathic and anthroposophic drugs. Companies that produce these products are diverse. Although most of them are small and medium sized enterprises (SME), many have experience in managing complex supply chains and highly differentiated portfolios.

These remedies are popular in Germany because they are natural and gentle and have few side effects – properties that produce a win-win situation for the people who take them and the firms that make them. What is more, Germany has a long-established legal framework and infrastructure for testing these drugs. This level of oversight means that when they come to market, these medicines have demonstrated efficacy and good clinical outcomes, factors that make them highly competitive worldwide.

The directory of companies specializing in this field has been designed to meet the needs of international readers. The guide provides an overview of the industry in Germany and delivers detailed information about firms active in this area. It contains an easy-to-use table and alphabetized profiles of 39 companies, including their products, services and contact information.

HEALTH MADE IN GERMANY is distributing the company directory at trade shows in Germany and abroad.
